kubuntu-default-settings software package provides transitional dummy package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kubuntu-default-settings
kubuntu-default-settings is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kubuntu-default-settings package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kubuntu-default-settings *
You will get with kubuntu-default-settings package name, version, architecture and description in a table
